Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock Jingle bells swing and jingle bells ring Snowing and blowing up bushels of fun Now the jingle hop has begun

Hello people

Let me start by wishing you all a Merry Christmas, and a truly happy new year, I hope you get everything you want for Christmas and 2010 bring you more joy and happyness than you ever thought possible.
Well, what a year it's been, I'll be totally honest and say that 2009 has been one of the worst years I can remember, starting on January the 5th when I was admitted to hospital with pancreatitis, I wont repeat everything I've said about it in previous blogs but even now, almost a year later I'm still getting pains and problems, nothing to worry too much about but it's been there niggling away.
One last piece of medical news is that I'm now diabetic, it's all due to the pancreatitis and I have to take insulin everyday, which is wierd as I don't really like needles, but it's not too difficult to do, it does mean I have to watch what I eat, and over Christmas that's going to be hard, but non-the-less, I'm not going to complain.
Well I'm all ready for Christmas, I did my shopping before December 1st which means I've been relaxed, usually I do all my shopping on or around Christmas eve and since I hate queues and people, I usually ended up in the pub after 25 minutes, with bags of useless gifts that were purchaced for very little [drinking] money and from shops that had very few customers, however I'm glad I've not had that problem, and while I'll still be going to the pub, I'm almost a year into being teetotal, so I wont be spending silly amounts on drink! Hooray!!
Well, I've been in a really good mood for most of the year and I know it sounds pathetic, but I think I've been in a good mood and finding joy and fun in everything and even to the extent of being excited for Christmas again is because I have a constant voice in my head telling that I shouldn't be alive for any of this. I know I've kept a lot of things bottled up and not shared things with you but, truth be told, I was scared shitless that I'd seen my last Christmas, and so I'm tackling everyday with a smile and a laugh and to be honest I much prefer the new me.
Since my last post I've bought myself a ukulele, and it's bloody awesome, why didn't I buy one years ago I keep asking myself? it's much easier to play than guitar and I just love it, love it love it love it, it's so cute and brilliant, so yeah, if you have a spare £20 after Christmas and fancy trying to learn a new instrument then I can whole heartedly advise the ukulele. DO IT!!
here is me doing a short version of "Jingle Bell Rock" for you:

Jingle Bell Rock

I've decided not to bother with a Woggzehs world awards this year as it's rubbish, sorry about that, there is one 'award' that I have to mention though.

PERSON WHO READS THIS BLOG AND KEEPS REQUESTING A SHOUT OUT: Janine Baynham

Yes Janine this is your very own shout out as you are the only person who gets excited when a new blog is posted, you even went as far as calling me a young Stephen Fry, not in the way that you think I'm gay, but in literary terms only. So thanks for that.

I've also had a big smile on my face because a friend whom I adore and respect so much has got in contact with me after not talking to each other for about 4 years, I missed chatting to her and she's really made my year by messaging to me again, it's just a shame she lives in Slovakia but never mind, So Alex, if you ever read this, thank you.
For new year I'll be going to Wales a place called Betws-y-Coed, it's at the foot of Mount Snowdon so I think the plan is to walk up it, although very little has been said about that so I'll have my fingers crossed that either the weather is not right for an attemt at an ascent or everyone has hangovers, there are some nice flat walks along the river (I think) so I'll be up for doing them, I don't do heights!
I've also done you Auld Lang Syne on my ukulele and you can listen to it here:

Auld Lang Syne

Well I think that brings me to the end of this festive update, once again I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and if you can, then have a toast on Christmas day to 'absent friends' it doesn't take much and it's a fitting tribute to people who can't be with their families on christmas day for whatever reason, and will be sorely missed.

Now go out and bloody well enjoy yourselves, IT'S CHRISTMASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Woggzeh.
